MEET YOUR ADVISER
A Decade of HR. A Lifetime of Advocacy.
I didn't come to immigration law from a textbook. I came from a decade of managing global mobility — where visa deadlines meant real people missing opportunities.
Louis Thompson
OISC Level 2 Registered Immigration Adviser | London
For ten years, I managed international human resources for multinational companies — coordinating work permits, relocation packages, and compliance audits across Europe, Asia, and Africa. I saw the immigration system from the employer's side: the sponsorship licence applications, the genuine vacancy tests, the resident labour market tests.
But I also saw something that troubled me — talented professionals and their families, confused and anxious about a process that would determine their future. Too often, they were left to navigate the Home Office's labyrinth alone, or worse, with advisers who treated their case as one in a stack of hundreds.
I retrained as an OISC-regulated immigration adviser because I believe the system should work for people, not against them. My corporate background means I understand sponsorship from both sides — and that dual perspective is something most immigration advisers simply cannot offer.
